My experience with Proutist Universal Malta

When I was selected to represent Proutist Universal Malta for the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “Diverse Horizons”, I was filled with anticipation and curiosity. The first half of the project was to be based in Georgia, with the other proportion being in Malta. At 18 years old and in my first year at the University of Malta, this was my first Youth exchange – so naturally, I had little to no idea on what to expect. Read more story on Google Drive.
Diverse Horizons Project Disseminated During Volunteer Recognition Ceremony in Ħal Safi, Malta
On 21 February 2026, the Ħal Safi Local Council hosted a Volunteer Award Certificate Ceremony recognizing volunteers who contributed to the successful organization of Festa Familja 2025, held in November 2025. The event brought together more than 100 participants from diverse cultural backgrounds residing in Malta, celebrating their dedication to volunteering, community service and social inclusion.
Among those recognized were 50 volunteers from Proutist Universal Malta. The ceremony also served as an important dissemination opportunity for the Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Diverse Horizons” (2024-1-MT01-KA152-YOU-000235033), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. Proutist Universal Malta youth participants will attend Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Diverse Horizons with the participants from the partner organisations from the countries of Malta, Georgia, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary and Turkey at Kobuleti, Georgia and Marsaxlokk, Malta on 15 to 22 April, 2025.
Through active participation and engagement with the “Erasmus+” opportunity the project seeks to promote civic involvement, creative expression and cross-cultural dialogue. By uniting youth from various nations, the initiative encourages the development of connections, friendships and relationships across borders, emphasizing the importance of respecting diverse viewpoints and challenging stereotypes.
“Diverse Horizons” aims to contribute to positive social change, empower youth to be active citizens and foster a sense of unity within diversity at both the local and European levels.
European Union Programme Agency, Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps – EUPA Malta selects Proutist Universal Malta for the project, Diverse Horizons, 2024-1-MT01-KA152- YOU-000235033 under the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union Key 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals for the year of 2024 to 2026.
The youth exchange “Diverse Horizons” includes two steps, the first step takes place in Kobuleti, Georgia 15 to 22 April, 2025 and the second step takes place in Marsaxlokk Youth Activity Center in Marsaxlokk, Malta on May 1 to 8, 2025.
The project gathers 36 people from partner countries: Malta, Georgia, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary and Turkiye.
